Gold Coast Banks

Most major banks offer full service banking facilities on The Gold Coast. Visa, Mastercard, Bankcard and other major credit and debit cards are accepted in most establishments throughout the Gold Coast. Before travelling to the gold coast in Australia, with the exception of New Zealand citizens travelling on New Zealand passports, all foreign nationals must obtain a visa before travelling.

Visas are available from Australian visa offices such as Australian Embassies, High Commissions and Consulates. They are also available from travel agents and airlines in certain countries. It is recommended that incoming visitors are to first obtain a visa before purchasing airline tickets, or entering into any other financial commitments dependent upon entry to Australia. Visitors are subject to visa requirements while in Australia and tourists are not allowed to work during their visit to the gold coast. Once visitors arrive here they are they must decide if they need to open a bank account if you have been in the gold coast for less than six weeks and need to open an account then all you need is a passport after six weeks you will need other personal documents like a birth certificate and a passport are 70 points each, an international drivers license is 40 points and credit, student and I.D cards are 20 points each.

The Gold Coast has a number of money exchange outlets. They are very competitively priced with banks, thus there is no need to get all your travel funds at the bank. Shop around for the best rate, as they can vary from day to day.
