Gold Coast information

The Gold Coast Australia is the most developed coast resort in Australia. The Gold Coast runs along the Australia coast for more than 70km to the south of Brisbane with Surfers Paradise at the centre.

The Gold Coast eGuide is a fully comprehensive Gold Coast travel guide where it is easy to book your Gold Coast tours and Gold Coast accommodation. Do use the Gold Coast search above or the site map that provides links to complete Gold Coast information.

Reaching the Gold Coast is best by using the Gold Coast airport at Coolangatta or Brisbane airport and arranging a pre booked airport transfer.

The beauty of this area is that there is always something new to discover whether it be glamorous new restaurants and clubs or the straightforward fun of feeling the sand of a newly discovered beach squish between your toes.

Take a day out at Sea World where you learn about the wonders of the marine life on the Gold Coast and experience the thrill of all the rides. And Wet'n'Wild Water World will exhaust you with the giant whirlpool in summer and whirlpool hot springs in winter. This fantastic place offers the extreme in water adventures. Then there is Dreamworld and Movie World that are great theme parks.

There are more adventures along the Gold Coast other than at the theme parks – try bungee jumping, skydiving, paragliding, hot air ballooning or take a helicopter ride. The Gold Coast is a city that never stops its break neck pace. But if you want to take it easy let the adventurers pass you by.

There is no shortage of great places to dine on the Gold Coast and much of the best eating on the coast makes use of the local seafood hauled fresh from the ocean each day. The Ferry Road Market at Southport is a great place to go to get the freshest seafood and you can even try before you buy at the market to stock up on beach picnic or barbecue items; or have it cooked up for you by award winning chefs.

There are endless dining options in Surfer’s Paradise alone, but for something a little different why not take a romantic gondola dinner cruise along the Gold Coast canals? Modelled on the Venetian gondolas, these go one better providing a completely private and weatherproof cabin for you to enjoy while dining in the most romantic way imaginable. After cruising on the gondola disembark and head for Jupiter’s Casino to try your luck at cards and dice or to take in a glamorous show.
